Robert Mohr has contributed a great deal to the tourism industry in Queensland with his skill and passion for cooking.

Commencing his apprenticeship in 2008 while in Western Australia, Robert then moved to Queensland to take up a chef role at Hamilton Island Yacht Club.

In 2015 he became Head Chef at Walter’s Lounge in Airlie Beach and now provides first class service and food to local and international visitors on a luxury yacht charter in the Whitsundays.

Robert has received a Chef’s Hat award two years running and the Young Achiever’s Award at the Whitsundays Tourism Awards in 2017.

He was also featured on Queensland Weekender and Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield.

Robert credits the Queensland tourism industry and its opportunities and attractions for his career progression and highlights.
