Raised in Gladstone, Dominique’s first role in tourism was as a school-based trainee with Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Ltd, an organisation dedicated to advancing the Gladstone Region through marketing and development of business, tourism and industry for the benefit of the community. Once Dominique finished high school, she combined her love of tourism and aviation by joining Australian Helicopters, catering for Heron Island clientele, followed by operational experience with several aviation companies.
Moving abroad, Dominique moved into customer experience roles with BMW, initially as a product specialist and then as a customer service executive with a focus on improving customer experience, delivering communications and developing strategies to improve UK market share.
Returning home, Dominique became the Tourism Manager at Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Ltd where she was responsible for tourism campaign development, marketing strategies and providing support to tourism businesses through marketing advice and delivery of upskilling programs. Dominique also played an integral role in attracting increased visitation by the international cruise liner industry to the Port of Gladstone.
